Hoge Gouwe

On the Hoge Gouwe, new apartments were realized in 2019 in the transformer house of the municipal light factory. In this municipal monument, electricity used to be generated to provide the area with electricity. Many industrial elements have been spared during the transformation. This building stands next to the former waterworks company, which was also transformed into residential use in 2017 (for more information, see "Nonnenwater"). In 2021 construction of a new building between the existing structures was finalized.

Within walking distance of both Gouda Station and the historic city center of Gouda, with a large variety of shops and many nice cafés and restaurants. Gouda also has a very good location in relation to other cities in Het Groene Hart (Utrecht, Rotterdam and The Hague are all easily accessible by car or public transportation).

A total of 11 two-room apartments have been realized. Two different types can be distinguished. The fantastic high ceilings provide a lot of light in the apartments. The apartments have laminate floors. The kitchens are equipped with a built-in hob and extractor. The bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a sink and a toilet.

Rental prices are between €725,- and €800,- per month (excluding utilities and service charges).

Due to the convenient location close to the Gouda trainstation and the various routes to Rotterdam, Utrecht and The Hague, these apartments are also perfect for expats.
